A Wild Side for APL Fire Suppression

APL Fire Suppression, a leading company in fire safety solutions, commissioned me to create two large-scale murals on their premises in Biggar, South Lanarkshire. They wanted to break away from the traditional corporate image, so we opted for a wildlife approach that really had nothing to do with fire suppression at all. The first mural features a striking red squirrel, while the second showcases a stag set against the iconic backdrop of Buachaille Etive Mòr. These eye-catching murals not only add a touch of nature to the industrial setting but also serve as a powerful deterrent to graffiti on the shutters. The icing on the cake is that they are painted for Art’s sake - just something nice to adorn their shutters without logo work or straight lines. Creative free reign. The best kind of brief for any street art or wall design project.

Portrait Mural for Chelsea Cosmetics

Chelsea Cosmetics, a renowned aesthetics clinic in Motherwell, sought a mural to enhance their storefront and attract new clients. The clinic is situated on a busy street in the heart of the town, which is in dire need of some colour. The solution was a stunning portrait of a young woman, painted directly onto the clinic's door. This vibrant and modern artwork perfectly complements the clinic's aesthetic and adds a touch of glamour to the local area. It deters graffiti and hopefully will spur on more businesses to look to hire a street artist/graffiti artist in Motherwell or the surrounding area. Definitely would love to do some more of these street art / graffiti portraits in and around Glasgow.

Hamilton Boxing Club - Laneway Refurb

Hamilton Boxing Club wanted to transform their laneway into a dynamic and inspiring space to brighten it up and draw the attention of passers by. The mural, which spans a long wall, incorporates a roaring lion at the start (their logo is a lion), abstract, energetic shapes, and the determined face of a boxer about to step into the ring. This bold and energetic artwork creates a striking visual impact and provides a perfect backdrop for photographs. Again - I’m hoping it gives more businesses the idea of booking an artist for a mural in the surrounding area, and hoping that artist will be myself and I can get some eye catching murals up in the Hamilton area.

A Monkey Business at Spider Monkey Cafe

Spider Monkey Cafe, a new but soon to be popular spot in Mount Florida, on the South Side of Glasgow, commissioned me to paint a mural to enhance their quirky and modern aesthetic. The result is a playful and eye-catching depiction of a street art monkey, complete with a nonchalant expression. We wanted to do something that wasn’t cliche like Banksy, that didn’t look “cartoonish” like many street art and graffiti characters, but more subtle - more like a piece of classy street art, remaining humourous and complete with a grunge graffiti effect. This mural adds a touch of urban cool to the cafe's interior, playing on their brand colours and creates a memorable dining experience. If you are reading this blog, and looking to hire a commercial wall artist, hire a graffiti artist, look for a wall artist in Glasgow, in Scotland - whatever you put into google - get in touch with me and  see what I can do for you.
